Why crews pick the Arcana: it's a hybrid design. The 1.5x squeeze gives you the wider frame and flares of anamorphic, and DZO's oval iris adds the oval bokeh you'd normally associate with a stronger squeeze. At around 700g each, they're light enough for gimbals and handheld, which most anamorphics aren't.
Best on full-frame and 16:9 sensors: 1.5x on a 16:9 sensor unsqueezes to roughly 2.66:1, easy to crop to 2.39:1, so the Arcana suits bodies like the Sony FX6 and RED V-Raptor X.
