Hire the RED Komodo 6K in London from £160/day. Global shutter 6K cinema camera with RF mount. Collect from Yellow Cactus, Stoke Newington N16.
The RED Komodo 6K is the easiest way into RED's image, and at £160 a day it's one of the best-value cinema cameras on our shelf in Stoke Newington, N16.
Komodo is RED Digital Cinema's entry-level camera, but there's nothing basic about the picture. Its 6K Super 35 sensor has a global shutter, so fast movement, car work and flashing lights stay clean with no rolling-shutter wobble. It records REDCODE RAW at up to 280 Mbps 6K/40p to CFast 2.0 media, and the adaptable RF-style mount takes RF lenses directly or EF and PL glass with an adapter.
Why crews pick it:
The RED Komodo 6K product page lists exactly what's in the kit, with the current day and weekly rates. Everything else you need (lenses, media, batteries, monitors and wireless video) is on the same site, so you can build the package from our full kit list in one go.
Need more resolution or large format? Step up to the RED V-Raptor X 8K. Prefer a run-and-gun body with built-in ND? The Sony FX6 is the obvious alternative. For long handheld days, add an Easyrig.
