Hire DZO X-Tract probe zooms in London from £155/day: 0° and 90° 18-28mm T8, full frame, PL, 6mm working distance. For food, product and macro work.
The DZO X-Tract is a probe zoom for getting a camera where a normal lens can't go: inside a glass, between products on a table, down at bug's-eye level. You can hire the DZO X-Tract 0° probe zoom from Yellow Cactus in Stoke Newington, N16 for £155 a day, and the X-Tract 90° probe zoom sits alongside it.
What's on the shelf:
What crews use them for: food and drink commercials, product and packshot films, miniatures and tabletop sets, and nature macro. The long, slim barrel gets the front element right into a scene, and because they zoom you can adjust framing without moving the rig.
Light it well: T8 and close working distances mean you need plenty of light on the subject. Small LED sources from our Aputure lights range work well. For even higher magnification, ask about the Laowa Aurogon microscopic lens set.
Every DZO lens we stock is on our DZO lens hire page.
Collection and returns are from Unit H1, 2 Leswin Place, London N16 7NJ, Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. If it's your first hire, please register a production account before ordering. Call 020 7898 3322 or email rentals@weareyellowcactus.com.
The X-Tract 0° probe zoom is £155 a day at Yellow Cactus, and the 90° version is listed alongside it with its current rate.
The 0° version looks straight ahead down the barrel. The 90° version looks out to the side, like a periscope, which is useful for low angles and tight tabletop moves.
Yes. It has a 43.2mm image circle, which covers full-frame sensors.
PL. Use a PL to E-mount or PL to RF adapter for Sony or RED bodies.
